In order to add a machine to the Active Directory (Domain) or to allow you machine to speak with a Domain Controller you will need to open the following ports....
- LDAP - TCP+UDP/389
- DNS - UDP/53
- SMB - UDP/138
- SMB - TCP/445
- Kerberos - UDP/88
